Money-making focus, low-level quality of classes, post-USSR teaching approaches, and infantile management and staff. It was the WORST experience of our previous schools and cultural activities with my daughter. They create a beautiful picture to sell their classes, and behind that, there are old-school post-USSR approaches to teaching — only a money-making focus. My daughter attended their Trio classes for 3-5 y.o children for 4 months. In the beginning, everything was more or less normal, except for regular delays in starting the classes. Then, without informing, classes changed from “Dancing, Singing, and Stage Acting” to “Dancing, Singing, and Art Therapy” because our favorite teacher of Acting classes was no longer working there. The worst was still coming. Their Winter Concert was a disaster: poor organization, low-level directing, and no logic in building the activity overall. The small children (3-5 y.o) were tired of hours of preparation, then hours of the concert when it could be easily divided into two parts: for adults and for children. No interest and engagement from the biggest part of the staff. They stood while a couple of people tried to organize everything (Hi Yuriy :) ). And they made mistakes, and only they took responsibility. Because of the poor organization, they forgot to take my daughter to the performance at all, which she had been waiting for the whole concert and even before. And, well, mistakes happen. But the reaction of the school isn’t anything similar to my values and adult approach to problem-solving: - During the concert, I asked Rostyslav (one of the managers) to ensure my daughter could have her “star time” during the final performance. The asking was ignored. Not even this. There was no final performance whatsoever. The 3-5 y.o children just stood in front of the stage and did nothing. No one even tried to wave them or engage them. - They sent Yuriy to us with 2 “extra classes of Art” as an excuse. The grownup management was too scared or careless to come and try to talk face-to-face and solve a conflict. They were pretty well aware of this case and our experience. - After our negative feedback, the dancing teacher, Lada, started bullying a small 3 y.o child. Even before, she had no explicit skills in building connections with children or outstanding dancing skills. We don’t even say that it’s childish and disgraceful. The one thing that she can do remarkably is to change the feeling of dancing classes from love to hate. I’m not even talking about any responsibility of the school or existing basic mandatory insurance. I want to thank the Art Home for setting the lowest possible benchmark, so it's hard to be disappointed in the future. I wish them all the best in changing their attitude and approaches and working hard to improve.
