Impressive big stadium. Not too sure what the negativity around the stadium condition is about in other reviews. Big arena, good atmosphere, excellent fans. Football wasn't bad either!

Ticket purchase was easy visited club office at stadium few days before. VIP seats were 25 euros each . Sat on top tier above half way line. Cheaper TKTS were 15 euros behind goal. Nothing much at ground in way of commercial or catering facilities at stadium . Enjoyed the game but stadium is a bit drab like home teams kit

Founded 1903, Boavista FC is the second largest sports club in town after FC Porto. Nicknamed Panteras (Panthers) and Axadrezados (literally checkereds), the team trademark are its checkered white and black shirts. Estádio do Bessa, the team stadium, was built in 1973 and remodeled in time for the Euro 2004. There's not much too visit though.
