Great place to swim for only 2€. Wearing a cap ist mandatory which I didn't have. However, I was able to borrow one at the reception. You get a paper slipt that you present to the staff at the side of the pool and they assign you a lane. Very nice and helpful staff!

Great 10x50 pool. Very friendly staff. Not crowded at all (there were 4 swimmers in total :-)). Rest of facilties are also perfect. Wearing a cap is required for everyone.

The best swim on Madeira! Do not share this review with anybody! Because the reason why this is by far the best swimming experience on the island, is very simple : no tourists, no foreigners just locals. Most of all, if you come here sometime between 11 o’clock and 14 o’clock! It’s clean, well serviced, and although you can see, it’s not a shiny new facility, you DO have a 50 m pool, a 25 m pool and if you apply to the procedures you will have an entire lane for yourself for a whole hour. Enjoy!

During our vacation in Funchal, I visited the 25-meter swimming pool on December 30, 2025 together with my juvenile son. Shortly after we entered the water, a lifeguard approached us and informed us that we must leave the pool because my child is underage and minors are only allowed to use the pool under the supervision of a licensed instructor - who i am not. We were asked to leave the pool immediately and were not offered any refund. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a public swimming pool while on vacation.
