We just moved to the neighborhood this past Spring. After surveying four public pools we decided on the Abóboda. After swimming there regularly for several months I think we have made the best decision. Comparing to the other pool in the central area that I frequented the Abóboda stands way above: the friendly staff (even with my limited Portuguese), facility, booking system, update, all of which making it such a pleasant place to be. Muito obrigado.

We like this pool a lot. The reception is very kind and changed kids classes so they could go in the same time. There is a special price for pool/gym for parents, which is great. There are 2 pools, for adults and children. Water temperature is perfect.

Nice atmosphere to be had here. From the cafe, swimming pool area, gym and group classes. All run by trained professionals. It also has it's own car park about a minutes drive from the gym. Also unpaid street parking when available. Highly recommend:)

Unfortunately we had a pretty bad experience. We booked aquarobic through urban sports. Noone told us to come with a cap however we brought one just in case. My friends cap didn't made it so she borrowed one. The class was so booked that we were standing in the flat water. We were not even saying anything but the trainer thought she should give us a random comment that is somehow our fault we should come closer to the front when it was obviously not possible due to the amount of ppl. We were just confused about why she even thought to bring it up. We didn't mentioned it. Somehow the trainer also gave us an attitude throughout the whole time still not sure why. The lifeguard however was worse. My friend got pulled out of the pool for investigation of her bikini. No lace just a very obvious bikini. After the session he made sure to tell her that she should wear a different bikini next time. I was wearing a very simple ripple black swimsuit. Like very very obviously a bathingsuit. All of a sudden he investigated me if that is even a bathing suit?! And told us we should wear one from decathlon?! Pretty weird interaction so we decided never to go there again.

There was a test before using the swimming pool. The staff said I failed the test because I can only swim in Frog style but not Free style, so that I had to take a course before using the pool. Isn’t this a discrimination in swimming styles?
