Esta atividade de jiu-jitsu é ideal para crianças e jovens que buscam desenvolver habilidades de autodefesa e disciplina. I traveled to Porto and took a jiu-jitsu class. Although it was short, it was a really good class. And they are very friendly to foreigners. The facilities are neat and clean.

I'm an old black belt from U.S.A. Training here all summer. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel right at home. Couldn't ask for a better school to burn some calories with. Oss

Gracie Barra Trindade in Porto is more than a gym—it’s a sanctuary for anyone serious about their jiu-jitsu journey. From the moment I stepped through the doors, there was an undeniable energy, a sense of camaraderie that seeps through every interaction. From the front desk to the mats, the atmosphere is genuinely welcoming. There’s no ego here, just a shared love for the art of BJJ and a community that embodies the Gracie Barra spirit. Professor Arari himself is a presence. He not only commands respect but fosters an environment of learning and humility. After the session, he took time to talk with me, one-on-one, about jiu-jitsu, reminding me that it’s never too late to start, no matter where you are in life. These are the kinds of conversations that stick with you—personal, thoughtful, and born out of a deep passion for the art. The level of practitioners here is no joke. You’ll roll with some serious talent, but it’s always constructive, never intimidating. The teaching is on point—technical, precise, and approachable no matter your skill level. Every session feels like a step forward, both physically and mentally. If you’re a BJJ practitioner—new or seasoned—you owe it to yourself to train at a Gracie Barra gym, especially here in Porto. Gracie Barra Trindade is a must-visit. Your journey in jiu-jitsu wouldn’t be complete without it.

Tried to visit the sparring class on saturday as a traveling purple belt from Belgium. The sparring class was 30mins long and consisted of 6 whitebelts, 3 bluebelts and the blackbelt coach. The coach told me the sparring class would cost me €20 as I would need to rent one of their gi's. The coach basically asked me €20 to roll 30mins with a couple of whitebelts and bluebelts. Typical Gracie Barra shenanigans. Don't bother with this gym if you're travelling.
