Caldas das Rainha is not only the centre for art and design in Portugal but also for ceramics. Mariana’s workshop taught us history of azulejo and allowed us to practice the art. She’s a wonderful kind instructor. A beautiful morning spent relaxing painting azulejos. Would def recommend her workshops.

Incredible experience! Such a unique process loved learning how to produce traditional Portuguese blue and white tiles- absolutely the highlight of our trip! Very different from other ceramics classes we have done. Mariana is incredible at teaching and made it fun and comfortable we didn’t want to leave- we will be back for sure!
