Obrigada Piano Studio!

I visited the studio several times during my stay in Matosinhos last month. I rented an electric piano there to practice. The studio is nicely decorated with a good atmosphere, and Catarina is very welcoming. She speaks good English too. I enjoyed my time there very much. Will revisit them on my next trip to Porto.

honestly, the studio is good teachers are good and kind also really well organised, but it’s group class, it mean each class 50mins, the teacher will only come to you for only 12 mins, so basically you can imagine how efficient your piano skills will grow. I learn 5 months piano here, I was about keep continuing learning. I need to go back to my home country for 2 months, I asked to pause 2 months of my classes, bc I won’t be in Porto. However, they didn’t allow, and suggested me to continue paying the monthly fee and attend the classes after I come back to Porto, which is really stressful for me. They said it’s the rules of the piano studio, maybe I miss it on their website but I didn’t see anything regarding about this in their website. Meanwhile they also suggest me another alternative option, by increasing the price of the classes and only pay the classes I am going to attend. Instead of paying €160@8, they ask for 25€ per class if I have 8 classes a month, 35€ per class if I have 4 classes. I can see that their considering my situation, meanwhile it shows how much they love money instead of student piano growth. I believe learning music should be fun like a hobby without stressed. In this case they are not caring each needs of the student and be flexible for them, but focusing on their stable income of the studio.
