Wonderful facilities. The length of the lanes is perfect and the staff is professional and welcoming. I visited the first time on the recommendation of friends who consider it the best pool in Lisbon. I have to agree.

Alvito pool,Run by Junta de Freguesia de Alcântara reopened today not only for the public but also for children swimming lessons,this was the state I found the changing room...broken glass on the floor,live electricity wires and contractors tools everywhere... disgraceful and absolutely appalling! The lessons we're about to start and barefeet children getting ready for their swimming lessons...

Maybe in another 20 years they will start notifying IMPORTANT instalations availability in the website instead of paper door-posts, Swimming pool will be suddenly closed for whatever reason and you wont find out until you are at the door. AVOID unless necessary.
