What a fabulous place to swimming. There are full time life guards on the side and corporate with them. You will experience strong currents sometime and it is really exciting but be careful. I will come again one day to experience it one more time.

Doca do Cavacas was one of the highlights of our time in Madeira! These natural volcanic pools are the perfect place to relax, swim, and take in the stunning coastal scenery. The mix of crystal-clear ocean water and the unique lava rock formations creates a truly special atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Great natural pools just 15 min Drive from Funchal. Entry fee is €5,50 per person but worth it. Many locals as well. Great for kids too.

Look up the tides before visiting. The pools are all closed at high tides. Great place with littles fish like sardines swimming around and crabs clinging to the rocks. Some very pleasant staff.
