We had such a great experience with Xpert Surf & Sup! Joao is an amazing instructor — super friendly, patient, and great with kids. He took the time to explain everything clearly, which made everyone feel comfortable and confident. We were a group of 7, and every single one of us had a blast. The kids were all smiles. If we come back (and we definitely plan to), lesson number two is already on our list. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the waves with a great teacher and an unforgettable vibe!

Joao is not only a "surf expert" he is an amazing person who exceeded our expectations. His honesty and friendliness combined with a deep knowledge of the Albufeira surf scene and surroundings helped to make our first trip to Portugal the most memorable and enjoyable experience possible. Here's why: he communicated clearly and directly with us in English, facilitated a meeting time using whatsapp, very convenient, he picked us up as arranged, and his van was clean and comfortable. During the drive to the beach he shared with us so much history of the area, pointing out local highlights along the way. We didn't know we would also get this guided tour included for free! He always made us feel welcome, and though some of our group were beginners, he ensured we were all safe and happy when surfing. Oh, and the teenage boys loved the surfing so much they went back a second time! Highly recommended for an all-round amazing surf experience from Surf Xpert!

Joao provided a great lesson in spite of weather conditions and being down a helper! It was very fun, energetic, and informative. He provided a great warm up and instructions before we actually hit the water, which benefitted us greatly. Highly recommend booking with this school if you're curious about surfing!

I would recommend this school 100%. The approach of the instructors was very friendly, they were able to explain the basics of surfing to us. I liked that we immediately went into the water to try surfing, after a short explanation, warm-up and familiarization with the surf. We had two lessons where I felt like we were in a private lesson. They were extremely attentive and we surfed all the time, no long waits or anything like that. I felt very comfortable with them, the main instructor Joao was very naturally funny and together with the other instructors created an incredible atmosphere for the entire lesson.
