Wife and I have been travelling Europe for the last 3months from Australia. I thought it was time I did something after all the fantastic wine and great food we have experienced. The wife and I were on vacation from the U.S. in Porto for one week in late July 2025. We trained BJJ at Tribo Jiu Jitsu twice. Such a great academy. Professor Emmanuel and all of his students were so welcoming. Well structured instruction and drilling period, followed by some great rolls with great people. It was awesome learning Jiu Jitsu in the Portuguese language - even though we speak four words of Portuguese. Hahaha. Jiu Jitsu is a universal language in so many respects. Professor Emmanuel and his students were very patient with us - and he speaks good English as well. So glad to have had this experience. If ever in Porto, please support and train at Tribo Jiu Jitsu!! You won't regret it.

Such a welcoming environment! If you are in Porto and need some jiu jitsu lessons or just a good roll, this is the place to go! High level professors giving easy to understand lessons in multiple languages. Excellent gym.

I started going to this Jiu Jitsu gym and I love the coaching, the group, the atmosphere inside, respectfulness, everyone is super friendly and cheerful, you learn a lot and the coach pays a lot of attention to the way you do things. Cannot recommend Tribo Jiu Jitsu enough.
